You will see a theme in all of our investigative processes, that is because they all have the same base concept called DICE.
DICE stands for:
Detect
Interact
Capture
Escalate
DICE is an investigative process created by Rich Newman, the founder of Paranormal Inc. and a professional Ghost Hunter. He has written books such as "Ghost Hunting for Beginners: Everything you Need to Know to Get Started" and "The Ghost Hunter's Field Guide" just to name two.
The Step-by-Step Investigation given in appendix B of his book "Ghost Hunting for Beginners: Everything you Need to Know to Get Started" is what our investigative method is based off and it has proven to be extremely effective.
Once we get the case and all of the information you have for us, we will do what is called a pre-investigation.
In Pre-Investigation we...
Do research.
Plan logistics
Perform any maintenance and get all of our equipment together and ready.
Gather any weapons needed and bulletproof vests.
Get the team together.
Perform Interviews
Do a walkthrough of the location.
Choose a spot where the team can rally.
Once we finish the pre-investigation, we will then go into our investigation. In investigation we work to detect any paranormal activity
In Detect we..
Perform what we call a vigil.
in a vigil we are silent in the environment and try to look for changes and normal sounds of the house.
We will use our detectors to find active hot spots in the area.
We will take the temperature and overall get a base reading of the area. (These procedures are really for base information but do not serve as much importance in a cryptozoology case)
After getting a base reading of the area, we will move on to the interact aspect of the investigation.
In Interact we...
We will attempt to interact with the animal.
we will look around the area and the woods and get a sense of the vibe.
We will see if any contact/encounter can be made with the animal.
After attempting to Interact we will move on to attempting to capture evidence.
In Capture we...
Take videos, pictures, and recordings in hopes to get some evidence.
We will mostly take pictures with lots of different camera filters, we will also set up a hunting camera that does well outside and see what we can get with that.
In the meantime- we will look for physical evidence such as tracks, broken branch, and scat. Anything this animal could have left behind.
If we have not found any activity yet, and no other natural occurrence or reason for the haunting, we will move on to Escalating.
In Escalate we...
Use provocation techniques as a last resort.
After we finish the last part of our investigation we will pack up and leave and move on to post investigation.
In Post-Investigation we...
Pack up all of our gear
Document any of our experiences
Upload and review footage and data
Prepare an investigation report.
Return to the location for debunking if needed/allowed.
Share evidence with you
If you would like, discuss post results.
